opportunities for you to get involved RIGHT NOW to help further your
conservative values by actively participating in trying to make
changes to our government, both on the state level and national.

Soapbox May, 2017: Letter from the Kaufman County Tea Party reminding
us that getting a President elected is not the end of the conservative's job.
It appears that many conservatives have become less interested in
politics and fighting for the America we want, since the election.
There are many good points here. This election was the beginning
of things that could be better for conservatives, but it still takes
a lot of work and we cannot let the Leftists win back the silent
majority which Donald Trump awoke for this election:

Conservative groups are noticing a drop in interest from supporters since the November election.  There appears to be no obvious reason, but given conservatives’ history, we think we know what’s going on.

Conservatives have a long tradition of being extremely reluctant to get involved in politics.  They pay close attention to what’s going on and generally don’t like what they see.  But very few are willing to work for change.  This is why a small group of socialists have been able to take over half the country.

The Left now either infects or completely controls religion, the foundation of society-the family (which they have utterly destroyed), education, government, media, arts, entertainment & sports, and business.  What’s left?  Not much.

Obama is no longer president, Hillary lost the election, Trump won, and America is saved.  Right?  Hardly.

And as long as the score is conservatives-0.5, socialists-6.5, this country is in grave danger no matter who is in the White House.

We may have a good president, depending on who you ask and the day of the week, but our party, that is, the leadership of the Republican Party, is hopelessly corrupt and holds us in contempt.  They will never fight for us.  Their refusal to repeal Obamacare is but one recent example.  They are paralyzed by greed.

Had the presidential election been lost to the Left, conservatives would have been discouraged and deflated to the point of immobility.  We would have thrown up our collective hands and given up.  But we won.  So what are we doing?  We’re immobile anyway.  We have packed up our marbles and gone home, refusing to see that only Americans can save America.

What has the Left done since their stunning loss?

They are on the march.  They are organizing, raising money, and planning.  Clearly, they believe that Trump is but a temporary setback, and in fact, he probably is.

What we are seeing is that the same forces that gave us Barak Obama are at work again:  Apathetic patriots and an animated and enthusiastic Left willing to do whatever it takes to win.  I’m not suggesting that we steal elections and vandalize property, but there is much that could be done that is legal and ethical, and victory is very doable.  Only it’s not getting done because we aren’t interested.

This will surely give us another Barak Obama, if not in the next election, then in the one after that.  And if you thought the first Obama was bad, you haven’t seen anything yet.  The next one will be far worse and America probably will not survive him or her.

As the Left becomes more and more bold, radical, and dangerous, the Right is going back to sleep, resting assured that Trump-or someone-will fix it.

The Left needs to be challenged and defeated on many fronts.  We should make good use of the time the Trump presidency is providing.

Will we wake up and make the most of that time, or fritter away yet another opportunity to restore the Constitution and take America back from the ideological descendants of Stalin and Lenin?

Freedom isn’t free.  That means it has a price.  Are you willing to pay it, or pay the price described by Plato?  Either way, you’re gonna pay . . . we all are.

March Soapbox 2017 asked us to sent a postcard to support Mr. Trump

On March 16th, each of us should mail Donald Trump a postcard that publicly expresses our SUPPORT to him.  And we, in vast numbers, from all corners of the world, will overwhelm the man with our encouragement and hope for his success.

We will show the media and the politicians and the celebrities what standing against him - and us - means.  And most importantly, we will bury the White House with our support as US citizens for the office of the Presidency.

Each of us - every American from every working class, each congress calling citizen, every boycotter, volunteer, donor, and petition signer - if each of us writes even a single postcard and we put them all in the mail on the same day, March 16th, well: you do the math. No media deception or disingenuous leftist politician will explain away our record-breaking, officially-verifiable, warehouse-filling flood of faith.

Hank Aaron currently holds the record for fan mail, having received 900,000 pieces in a year. We're setting a new record: over 1.5 million pieces in a day, ringing with nice things to say. So sharpen your wit, unsheathe your writing implements, and see if your sincerest well-wishes can pierce the media's famously thin skin.

Prepare for March 16th, 2017 , a day hereafter to be known as "the call of patriots" !! Then, on March 16th, mail your messages to:

 President Donald J. Trump

The White House

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW

Washington, DC 20500

It might just be enough to drown out the awful, despicable, display we see in these protests! The media just might take notice!!!

 Copy, paste and share widely.

(If you miss the date, send him your support anyway. He needs to know
that we support him every day. He is doing what he said he would do!)

Soapbox May of 2016...Target Boycott planned June 4, 2016

When you issue an invitation to predators to walk into women's private dressing rooms and restrooms, don't be surprised when they accept.

Less than three weeks after Target's open door policy, a man walked into the ladies changing room in Frisco, Texas with his camera phone and video-recorded an underage girl trying on clothes. When he is done uploading all that footage onto the internet, he can always
go back to Target for more.

How many more women is Target going to allow to be victimized before they change their insane policy that puts women and young girls at risk?" It's crazy-literally. Target is putting its female customers at risk for a fraction of a percentage of the population who have
a certified mental disorder.

That's right, transgenderism (men who identify as women and visa-versa) is a mental disorder. Before the name calling and threats begin, I'm not the one who said that, the American Psychiatric Association is. The current APA Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) states that "people whose gender at birth is contrary to
the one they identify with" are diagnosed with
"gender dysphoria"--a mental disorder.

This is not to say we don't have sympathy for those with mental disorders. I pray for Bruce Jenner often-that he doesn't commit suicide when he realizes that no matter the surgeries, the applause,
or how much makeup a man puts on, it doesn't
change his genetic makeup as a man.

If Target wants build its policies to accommodate those with mental disorders, perhaps they should also have an "Anorexic Department" where they mark size "0" clothes as XXL so as to accommodate the very thin who "identify" as very fat. Installing distorted funhouse mirrors could help ensure that the anorexic's appearance matches their distorted identity. That would be stupid. But their current policy is more than stupid-it is dangerous because it lets predators,
peeping Toms, pedophiles, and the more than
800,000 registered sex offenders walk into the bathroom
and fitting rooms right along with the cross dressers.

Target, President Obama, and those trying to boycott the state of North
Carolina also seemed to have missed the stark warning from the
American College of Pediatricians:

"Conditioning children into believing that a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse. Endorsing gender discordance as normal via public education and legal policies will confuse children and parents, leading more children to present to 'gender clinics' where they will be given puberty-blocking drugs. This, in turn, virtually ensures that they will 'choose' a lifetime of carcinogenic and otherwise toxic cross-sex hormones, and likely consider unnecessary surgical mutilation of their healthy body parts as young adults."

Are you sick of all the bathroom bullies? Sign WND’S petition and say NO to transgender bathroom and locker room madness!
Sign This Petition

According to the APA Manual of Mental Disorders, as many as 98 percent of gender-confused boys and 88 percent of gender-confused girls eventually accept their biological sex after naturally passing through puberty. But, tragically, for those who put themselves through an imaginary opposite-sex “transition,” 41 percent will
subsequently attempt suicide.

There’s a reason why the American College of Pediatricians call endorsing gender confusion “child abuse” – going along with their game of pretend actually harms them. Just as letting men – including predators – into women’s private facilities invites harm.

Soapbox August of 2015

I want to commend our Texas Senator, Bob Hall for being named the most Conservative Senator in the Texas Legislature for this
year in Austin. In a study by Rice University, it was found that
Bob did what he said he would...Champion our conservative values!

Quoted from the Capital Report from Bob Hall

"Bob Hall, Ranked Most Conservative Texas Senator
in Rice University Study"
The Texas Tribune published an analysis of the Texas senators, and it ranks all Texas Senators on a liberal-to-conservative spectrum based on all role-call votes. The analysis was led by Mark P. Jones, a political science fellow at Rice University.1 The analysis ranks Texas Senators by how conservative or liberal we are relative to other senators, and it ranked me at the top of the conservative chain as the most conservative Texas State Senator. (See the article link below.)
The Texas Tribune:
I was glad to see other freshmen and sophomore senators ranked in the upper conservative echelon. In fact, all of the freshmen Liberty 8 Senators were in the top 10. I look forward to working with them to advance policies that secure the rights of the people and facilitate prosperity for all Texans.

84th Legislature Disappointing

Local Investigation & Legislative Session Fall-out

On the local front, this week I heard from the Texas Attorney General’s Office regarding the investigation into the county traffic camera contract debacle. An AG’s representative acknowledged receipt of District Attorney Matt Bingham’s recusal and subsequent request for the Attorney General to appoint an Attorney Pro Tem to lead the investigation into the actions of County Judge Baker and the Smith County Commissioners Court in relation to Grassroots America’s formal complaint against the Court. I am also reading through pages and pages of e-mails and documents received from the county pursuant to our open records request. I am withholding public commentary until my findings are turned over to investigators. Again, be assured we will not stop pursuing this matter until we are satisfied that a full and thorough investigation has concluded.

We are four days away from sine die, the end of the state legislative session. Every single conservative victory (and there have been very, very few) took constant battling and pushing. I am organizing a conference call next Tuesday night with conservative leaders across the state who will each give a short report on the shocking lack of results in a session with a new Governor, Lt. Governor and GOP majorities in the House and Senate. Watch for call information we’ll send out over the weekend.

As we near the US Supreme Court ruling which may redefine marriage, who is protecting Texas? The House and Senate signed worthless letters and resolutions touting “support” for biblical marriage after leadership failed to set the bills as high priorities. Our State Rep. Matt Schaefer was having nothing to do with the “fig leaf” House letter and rightly refused to sign it. Rep. Schaefer told the Texas Tribune he declined to sign the letter out of disappointment and frustration after the House failed to move a proposal aiming to protect the state's marriage laws.

"I wanted action, not just words in the journal," he said. "We need a loud, clear message to ring in the ears of the Supreme Court that people believe in marriage, as God instituted it, around the country. But unfortunately, the headline will be, the Texas House failed to act."
Schaefer said Republicans shared responsibility for the bill's demise, because they placed it too low on the calendar.
"It should have been a priority and it wasn't," he said. "If issues we care about as conservatives are not heard in a chamber dominated by Republicans, you have nothing but Republicans to blame."
The following announcement by the Texas Pastor Council Action further explains the failure.

JoAnn Fleming

Marriage protection fails in TX Legislature

By Rev. Dave Welch, Texas Pastor Council Action

An intense effort to salvage some meaningful marriage protection legislation by amending the language of HB 4105 (Rep. Cecil Bell’s bill that would defund marriage licenses issued to same sex couples should the U.S. Supreme Court overturn our Texas Defense of Marriage Amendment) to another bill (HB 2977) failed after being aggressively opposed by Senate Democrats
and a core of Republican Senators including Joan Huffman (Sugar Land) and Jane Nelson (Grapevine).

After HB 2977 was amended in committee, the sponsor of the Senate bill being amended, Democrat Sen. Eddie Lucio (Brownsville) pulled the bill from the Intent Calendar (bills waiting to be voted on by full Senate) rather than let it pass with the marriage protection included. As Houston Democrat Rep. Garnett Coleman said, “Good legislation was sacrificed, but appropriately so to see this language fail…It is offensive to my constituents, it's offensive to me, and it's offensive to our constitution." (
It is an astounding and appalling reality that in one of the most Republican-dominated state governments in the U.S., with a strong majority in both House and Senate, that the Texas legislature did nothing meaningful to protect religious freedom, traditional marriage or oppose the radical agenda of sexual /gender confusion.

The “why” is clear.

The political influence of the pro-LGBT, anti-Christian corporate lobby combined with the moral weakness of key Republicans holding leadership positions in the House and Senate trumped the clear principles of the GOP Platform, the will of the Texas voters, and pastors from all over Texas who stood and spoke boldly. That, combined with a Democrat party entirely and deeply controlled by the LGBT forces and every “D” Senator and Representative in their pocket, neutralized what should have been a pro-family legislative session.

The good news is that the only way for evil to triumph is for us to be silent, and we have proven that pastors all over Texas are no longer willing to be passive as the enemy of our souls and his pawns influencing media, entertainment, education, and politics assault God’s moral law and created order.

We have, indeed, just begun to fight for God’s righteousness and justice.
